We are a family run business who have lived in the little Suffolk village of Tattingstone for over 30 years. 3 generations have been integral in the building of this unique and exclusive site which we now feel is time to share with you.
Once the Glamping site is up and running the site will have 3 five metre traditional Bell tents.
There will be 2 bathrooms housed in our ‘Monty Don’ inspired steel corrugated garden shed complete with warm showers and flushing loos.
The site is located in the heart of ‘Constable’ country where the English landscape artist John Constable was born and who took inspiration from the beautiful Suffolk countryside producing the famous ‘Hay wain’ in nearby Flatford Mill and ‘A view on the Stour’ near Dedham.
Here at Suffolk Steel House we are passionate about walking and cycling so with that in mind each luxury Bell tent will be given the use of 2 retro bicycles for the duration of your stay. Our hope is for you to leave your car behind and visit the many little Suffolk villages by bike, doing a little food provisioning in the local shop before having a couple of pints of local ale in one of our nearby village pubs.
The White Horse pub is in fact located just 2 minutes walk away down the lane.
